Mister Fried Potato opened one year ago and offers chicken tenders, fried fish sticks, flavored fries, and many drink options. It is located in Monterey Park in the Atlantic Square Shopping Center. Many people have been talking about how good this place is and are always hyping it up, but is the food worth it?

You can not go wrong with a simple chicken tender plate and fries. At this fast food restaurant, you can get flavored fries, similar to Potato Corner which is known for its flavored fries. Mister Fried Potato has many appealing drinks like Milk Tea and Frosty Slushies. What attracts people is most likely their drinks as well as their flavored fries. Upon tasting their chicken tenders, they lacked flavor and were plain. “They are not that good,” said Celene Morales.

You would expect the chicken to be crispy on the outside and moist on the inside but this place was the opposite. The chicken was soggy from the outside which is something that many people dislike because it can create a weird texture in your mouth which is not expected from a crispy chicken tender. The taste was very bland, it didn’t seem like it had seasoning whatsoever. “It has no flavor and doesn’t taste that great,” said Fredi Morales. In many different fast food places the chicken tenders offer different flavors or different heat levels for spice but in Mister Fried Potato they offer regular chicken tenders which do not have much flavor to offer. The fries were expected to at least be good.

Their flavored fries can come in many different flavors. The cheddar cheese fries did not taste like cheese and the cheese seasoning would stick to your fingers. The fries are the best part of a meal since they are so good. “It doesn’t taste like anything, the fries from Potato Corner are more flavorful,” said Fredi Morales. The fries have potential but still need more flavor to make sure they are good. A fountain lemonade tasted sour, how can you ruin lemonade that is not made from scratch? Usually, the lemonade from the fountain is good. Some people are also disliking this place. 

People on Yelp are also disliking this fast-food restaurant.  “..mine was cold and soggy,” said Patricia O. No one likes when their food is cold. You always want to eat your meal and clearly, this place does not care about having good quality food. They should consider putting more effort into their food if they want more people to buy from your business. “No offer to take your order, no offer to assist,” said Anita M. This shows how this restaurant cares very little for its customers. If you are willing to open a restaurant whether it’s fast or not you should always want customers to talk well about your business which is why you should take in what they are saying so that your business can improve. Had high hopes for this place because of its amazing photos on Yelp but was very disappointed. Guess they are more focused on their Frosty Slushies since those look the most appetizing. Do not come to Mister Fried Potato especially if you want some good quality food.
