It goes to show you that war anywhere in the world, war is without a doubt the worst thing a country can go through and there are many things that we’ve learned in history that prove that. Wars such as WWI and WWII have left many dead, wounded, and morally down. War is no different from past wars as there is one thing that causes war, order. For this, we can look at current conflicts going on in our modern world Israel and Hamas conflict. Such destruction and discord over the past few weeks have shown how mentally and physically war is not just something that happens because, but terror to prove a point or demand made by leaders, sacrificing people to fight for an invisible cause is all but a horrible thing to tell people who are devoted.
Israel has always been in a weird state ever since it emerged and was created after WWII back in 1948 but now it’s in even more trouble with the surprise attack from Hamas on October 7, 2023. Israel has always been made up of Jewish descent while Hamas have been mainly Palestinian. Why does this matter? Because there is a huge difference when it comes to how god should be worshiped. So where does that lead us too? Our current affairs with Israel, taking the lives of 1,600 Israelis and 7,000 Palestinians reported on time.com, the number may only still climb depending on how long the attack will last. On CNN, a reported 150 hostages have been taken in by Hamas in order to discourage Israel from counter-attacking. Joe Biden visits Israel and proposes to fund the cause as a means of foreign aid to support victims of Israel. Finally, the heavy casualties and destroyed infrastructure from the Gaza Strip have left many homeless and, as of now a warzone, have left many to seek refuge in other countries.
So what is with all the chaos within just four weeks and why does this kind of thing happen? Well for starters war has been around since the buildup of civilizations back in the Mesopotamia era. The modern era is no different from other eras that included war, both end in huge bloody battles resulting in loss of human lives, misery, and mental issues revolving around such tragic events. The Israel-Palestine war will be another reminder in history as modern tension starts to rise all over the world like NATO versus The Warsaw Pact can easily unfold within the foreseeable future. So what does this all mean in terms of us individuals? Life will go on, and time will continue to move as what determines the livelihood of mankind can ultimately be decided by these superpowers but if you truly want to make a difference I’d say that you’d participate in your local protest against war as well as donate money to assist those who have been affected by such loss.
