The LA Kings Experience

This is what going to the LA Kings game is like…
The LA Kings Experience

The LA Kings experience is one of the opportunities that ELARA recently offered its students which involved going to the Cyrpto.com arena in downtown Los Angeles to attend an LA Kings game.

ELARA offered freshmen and sophomores the chance to attend before any other class since both freshmen and sophomores showed a lack of interest the school then decided to offer the experience to the upperclassmen that of Juniors and Seniors. The seniors finished filling up the field trip to the game and that’s how the students were chosen. ELARA is a TITLE school so many of our students may not have funds or even the opportunity to attend any kind of game. Many of our students who have been interviewed have told us it was their first time in that part of Los Angeles.

With this experience, the kids who attended the LA Kings game were exposed to possibility and curiosity. With that new experience, they now know what’s out there beyond the borders of what makes East LA and Boyle Heights. The students who were interviewed have mentioned how being exposed to a new area and even a new environment has changed their perspective on their ambitions. Their minds have been expanded to many possibilities to experience more things that are out there. The opportunities that schools give students go much further than just a field trip much further than just a bus ride this opens the children’s minds and touches their hearts opening a new possibility and a new love for them finally giving them exposure to experience that every person should endure testing why TITLE schools need to have funding and conduct more experiences like the LA Kings game.
