The past few weeks the Division Series for the MLB Postseason began. The teams that participated in the American League were the Orioles, Rangers, Twins, and Astros. For the National League, it was the Dodgers, Diamondbacks, Braves, and Phillies. The winner of each series will move on to the Championship Series. So far the team that made it to the Championship series was the Texas Rangers winning against the Astros by 4 to 3 games. The 2023 World Series will be held in Arlington with the Rangers and whoever wins the NLS. Who will win the World Series in 2023?

Many of these teams had prepared to bring their team to the Championship series but unfortunately did not make it. Carlos Correa went against his former team the Astros but kept his relationship with his former teammates out during the playoffs. “Right now, when we cross those lines, there’s no relationship at all,” Correa said. His main focus was to make sure his team won and went on to play in the final playoffs. “There’s just win or lose. I want to make sure my team is on the winning side.” Every team wants to get to the Championship series and win but it is not always like that. Teams will always experience a loss during the playoffs unfortunately for us Angelenos this year we did not make it to the Championship series. We had many hopes for the Dodgers to win and advance in the playoffs especially since they were doing well before the playoffs. Clayton Kershaw had prepared to take the Dodgers to the Championship. “With the way this year kind of went, I didn’t expect to be in this spot for a lot of reasons. But it’s here and if that happens I’ll be ready,” Kershaw said. The Dodgers were ready to take down the Diamondbacks but unfortunately, they won by winning 3 games to 0.

The Orioles were also one of the teams that wanted to get to the Championship Series. “ It might take a little bit more of a deep dive into a couple of guys, just to make sure we get the full grasp of what they’re trying to do to us offensively and defensively, stuff like that,” said Cedric Mullins outfielder for the Orioles. The last time the Orioles had won was in 1983 which is something that the team would of course would like to change one day. This year the two teams that will go against each other are the Diamondbacks and the Rangers. The Rangers were tied with the Astros by each having won 3 games. On October 23, the Rangers defeated the Astros which sent their team to the Championship. The Rangers have never won the World Series while the Diamondbacks have only won once which was in 2001. Who will win the Championship, I guess we have to wait and see.
