While the majority of survivors supported the settlement, some raised concerns that it prevents legal action against people who committed the crime. However, the Supreme Court’s decision clears the way for the settlement. If people can get away with a crime like this with cash, it can affect us as a crime committed toward us can be turned a blind eye with the use of cash.
