The History of Journalism: Words can bring people together

Journalism is important to keep people in the loop and bring communities together. Its journalist’s job is to inform communities providing a way for people to stay up to date on topics around the world.  For example, if you’re looking for a movie to watch or perhaps you hear something on the news you might go on a website titled Five Best Movies of the Year or a reliable news sight. Where you will receive articles on highly rated movies or the election Not only that, but they also cover news topics such as ongoing conflicts, which allows you to gain insight into the situation at hand or around the world

Bringing  Awareness of the world around you can lead to a more open-minded perspective, which can foster meaningful connections with those in your community. Journalism, which often focuses on community issues, has the potential to expand readers’ horizons and prompt them to explore new experiences. Essentially, journalism serves a crucial role in keeping individuals informed and connected to the world in which they live.

Understanding history gives you insider access to the benefits that it has to offer the world as a whole. For example, the earliest form of Journalism was a piece called  Act Durinta, in Rome which hung in prominent places for everyone to see. Is job was mean daily recount important events such as public speeches and other items that the people needed to be made aware of. this was an effective way for the Roman Community to stay updated with the various news that happened. This is not the only instance of societies reporting news over the centuries. the Tang Dynasty gives us a year or century-used boa.  which translates to a report. for the same reasons as the Romans did, and also proved to be effective in keeping the community together  Today news is used to keep people up to date on current events and political and judicial changes, giving the public a solid understanding and the opportunity to speak out against unjust laws before they are passed.  For example,  when the Supreme Court announced the possible overrule of Roe and Casey in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, journalists were quick to pick up the case and spread awareness to the public around the world which sparked protests on both ends of the pro-choice and pro-life parties bringing people from both ends to voice their statements with the court which on Jan 24, 2022 announce the bill will be overturned in some states of America which also caused an uproar in women everywhere overall in this example we see how quickly journalists on various platforms journalists can spread important information and how shared points of view can bring people together and call for action on both ends due to reports shared through media on both sides.
