Each of the ELARA’S clubs provide a kaleidoscope of safe spaces for students where they can express themselves freely and delve into their passions. For some , it can be a great way to meet new friends who have similar interests. For others it is a chance to be involved with their community and build a strong connection between students and staff and a start to fostering valuable skill sets like time management, public speaking, agriculture , and free individual expression.
Gaming club
The gaming club is held in room 202 offers a warm welcome to all types of gamers and video game lovers a space to hang out and play with one another it was started by last year’s sophomores; it was made to give students a place to share their interests and helped build friendships which allows the club to remain a comforting place for manny students for the 2 years it has been active “the gaming club really helped me socially” stated one of last year ELARA’s Seniors “ the club was a place they can be themselve free of judgment which pushes students to embrace the weird within themselves and around others. The official club opening has yet to be determinedAs excitement build within School Community plans are For the club has yet to be determined But they do plan to open soon
Horror club
The bright sideThere are other clubs open for example If you have passion for a taste of the grotesque,grim creations and stories of humanity,the horror club is the perfect place for you. Held in room 108 This fun filled weekly club has been standing for 7 long years holds horror movie viewings and fun creative presentations on all sorts of spooky topics voted by the lively bunch of club members presented by the club sponsor ms Perini , held every friday at lunch
Year book
for the last 8 years has also been in charge of the the schools yearbook. However,unlike horror club this club is held every week on Tuesday. In 108 If you are looking to be an active member in your community being a member of Yearbook is perfect . “yearbook works with other clubs\ sports our academy has to offer accentuating your role as an active member within your school community but that’s not all .in this club members of this club will dabble in photography in order to document memorable moments of the school year collect senior quotes and baby photos,along with having the privilege of expressing your creativity in designing the yearbook.
Garden club
Another impressive way to show you are an active member in your community is the garden club, which is held in the increasingly thriving amphitheater every wednesday thanks to our garden club .They maintain the Renaissance Garden space by pruning existing plants, planting seedlings, and harvesting the succulent fruits and vegetables that our school garden produces . The garden club helps students gain an understanding of natural systems through firsthand experience. Giving you a chance to better your community, which kindles community spirit by bringing students, school staff, and organizers together to restore life to a big part of the school that all of the academy’s share. 103 holds the GSA,during lunch , the as a safe space for members of the LGBTQ community it also helps to build understanding ally’s by allowing people to ask their burning questions. This club creates a safe space for people to be their true selves and ask questions others may have about being a better ally. aiims to attend an event called Models of Pride set to be during October models pride is a conference that has several sessions for LGBTQ+ students and for teachers to support their students.This is the fifth year of this academy holding the GSA Club joining this club help you develop new and stronger socializing skills by learning to ask questions and delving deeper into understanding yourself and others though your differences
