Recently in Bakersfield there were reports on Border Patrol sightings. There have been significant videos online where these documented people are getting stopped and Border Patrols are asking if they are undocumented. They have been located on the streets, freeway, and public parks. People in different parts of Bakersfield have come together as a community and protested. A lot of people, especially young people are going out there fighting for their parents and their own rights, holding up signs that talk about how these Hispanics came here for a better life and are hard working. Even big influencers are speaking about this situation and some are even going to these protests. These protests are still going on today. Despite these challenges that the Hispanic community is facing, the community’s unwavering support and determination shine brightly, paving the way for a brighter tomorrow filled with compassion and progress.
