Los Angeles Unified School District is investing $50 million to open 26 new wellness centers across the district by the end of 2025, reported LAist. These centers provide access to therapy, stress management programs, and peer support groups for students struggling with anxiety, depression, or trauma. At Roosevelt High School, junior Diego Ramos shared, “I’ve seen friends struggle with mental health, and having someone to talk to on campus makes a difference.” Students are encouraged to visit these wellness centers or volunteer to promote mental health awareness through clubs like Active Minds.
