The depiction of the Vitruvian man is reflective of the goals of East Los Angeles Renaissance Academy because Elara bases itself on creating well-rounded students who are creative and can succeed on their own. According to East Los Angeles Renaissance Academy’s website they state, “(ELARA) will be a center of community life and learning, whose students see themselves as architects of their own, and their community's future.” By creating students who see themselves as scholars they are embracing the ideals of the Vitruvian man of being well-rounded, by helping their communities and solving problems in unique ways. By following Leonardo's de Vinci's Vitruvian guide we can see our hopes for the future, to create more strong and smart individuals who the world can depend on and who will be the guide for future generations to come.
