At 8 p.m. on Monday, a 12-year-old boy was struck by a bus that belonged to the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. The child was transported and hospitalized. It happened on Bellaire Avenue and Chandler Boulevard in Valley Village. The child was taken to the hospital in stable condition. A citizen shared the footage of the crash site while the bus remained parked nearby. The incident is being investigated and no further details on what happened to the bus driver or the child’s well-being. This is important because many kids take the bus or walk home from school. Kids cross the street and cars start turning. This is important because kids should be more cautious before crossing the street. This is a reminder to look both ways before crossing the street. As for the cars, they should wait patiently to turn and watch out for the kids that are crossing.
