Small Islands Taking Big Countries Into Cour

Small+Islands+Taking+Big+Countries+Into+Cour

On September 11, there was a two-day hearing from small island nations such as the Bahamas, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Antigua and Barbuda. These nations are taking bigger unnamed nations to court under the eyes of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (Itlos). Their hope and outcome of this court event was to determine whether greenhouse gas emissions absorbed by the marine environment should be considered pollution. This is crucial because if these small islands win, the overall health of the world will be better for all. It will also reduce sea levels and alleviate marine life.
