On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, near Siesta Key, Hurricane Milton a category 3 storm
made a landfall on Florida’s west coast. It caused widespread damage, with strong winds ,heavy rainfall, and a deadly storm surge. MIlton created tornadoes across Florida’s Eastern regions, leading to extensive flooding and damage to houses. The storm left million without homes and power. As the storm worsened, coastal cities were submerged under feet of water leading to significant damage to businesses and homes separating families from each other. !4 individuals are said to have died as of October 11, 2024.
